About Mihama fencing club

We began our activities on April 7, 2024.

We established a new fencing club in Mihama-ward, Chiba City.

Several of our club's initial members have been running the "Chiba City Fencing Federation" training sessions in Inage-ward, Chiba City since 1983.
The Chiba City Fencing Federation has been focusing on junior development since July 2021. Currently, the Chiba City Fencing Federation is continuing junior development as the "Chiba Jr. Fencing Club".

As a new initiative in Chiba City, we would like to promote fencing as a lifelong sport.

We would also like to promote fencing in Mihama-ward, Chiba City, where the Tokyo Olympics fencing competitions were held.

About practice session

We conduct fencing practice sessions with open sparring.

Date：every Sunday 6 p.m to 9 p.m.　
Location：Gymnasium of Masago Nishi Elementary School
Address:4-5-1, Masago, Mihama-Ward, Chiba City

Conditions of Participation：
  • Fencing competitors over 10 years old who have never had any trouble in other clubs.
  • Participants must wear clothing that conforms to the latest FIE regulations when sparring.
  • Participation is at your own risk. Elementary and junior high school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
  • We are renting the venue through the Chiba City school facility opening, therefore, we have to strictly abide by the rules of operation set forth by the Chiba City school facility opening.

Other information：
All initial members are epee competitors. Some of them are foil competitors too.
Several times a year, there are suspensions due to venue reasons.

Participation fee

Adults: 500 yen per visit, high school students and younger: 200 yen. Cash only.
